Sometimes you need a fresh start, ya know?

A couple years ago, I started a blog called Pour Me Another Novel. (You can still check out my old posts and pairings here.) The purpose was to combine my two favorite things – books and wine. The premise was simple, I’d pair the books I read with the wines I drank. Unfortunately, I started the blog at a time in my life when I didn’t feel the best about myself or where my life was, so I stopped updating it.

Now years later, I want to finish what I started and really build up my blog, for no other reason than the enjoyment it brings me. I thought about resurrecting my original blog, but it didn’t quite feel right. That’s when I decided I’d start over. I wanted something that felt more me. Thus, Keri Reads & Drinks was born.

I’m still going to pair books with wine on occasion, but I’m not going to leave out other beverages – alcoholic and non-alcoholic, because sometimes a book just screams out to be paired with some peppermint tea.

Also, in the last 4 years, I’ve developed a deep love and appreciation of cooking. I’m also a shameless foodie. My husband and I love to check out new restaurants and funky eats. It’s one of our favorite things to do together. So I’ll definitely be writing about food and cooking.

Sometimes I’ll talk and books and beverages.

Sometimes I’ll talk about food.

Sometimes, maybe, I’ll just talk.
